We each have a finite amount of breaths. Because of this little unavoidable truth, it is necessary to be as explicit and deliberate as possible about how we choose to spend our time. Life is brimming with events that are beyond our control or those pesky things that give us the illusion that choice has been removed. How do we extract every ounce of giddiness, peace, and purpose out of our days? Of course we can’t obstacle-proof our lives, but how can we attempt to make it manageable regardless of our circumstances?
Transformations occur with one tiny nugget of wisdom or experience at a time. C.S. Lewis said, “Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes, but when you look back, everything is different…” I think the thing to ponder here is: Do you want to influence that difference? “The stuff” changes with or without you. Today, I want to encourage you to take charge of “the stuff” or better yet, how you see “the stuff.” Perception is totally within the realm of your control. You have the power to redesign your life, even if you are a hot mess.
Let’s do this together.
Every week I will post what I am calling a “Heart Hack” to support you on your journey. A “Heart Hack” is a tip or trick used to create an intentional and fulfilling life that you are excited to live. Pick and choose the ones that make sense for you and adapt them to fit your situation. “Heart Hacks” will be posted here (on the blog see the menu), but I will also post them to The Elated Heart Facebook Group. There you will be able to share your tips and tricks as well as become a supportive community for others.
